Campaign against Elephant killing In Africa by Leonardo DiCaprio
It is so obvious that so many countries are fighting for Wildlife in then national park. In Uganda it was reported that Elephants are being killed at high rate because Ivory trade. In Kruger national. It such a very good voice to hear that someone is there fighting for these God given creatures. In October 1st 2012, Leonardo Dicaprio joins International Fund for animal welfare. It is great to know that today he is calling up the world community to put in more effort to stop the killing of elephants.
DiCaprio has said “the rate of killing Elephant is so high in Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa. This was realized after 24’3 tons of Ivory was captured at the international airports by the government authority worldwide. The boning of Ivory trade stared in 1989 but trade has continued up to date.”
The global ambassador for IFAW animal action program DiCaprio, and Azzedine Downes, are joining forces to fight and reduce the demand of Ivory in chine, this will help reduce the killing of Elephant, It is reported that china is buying Ivory and Rhino horns at a high price, where by ivory is used for Jewel and Rhino hones for traditional local medicine which last week was claimed to be a cancer healer.
The campaign will include educating young people on conservation, and it is reported that over 18 countries have registered and still more school are requested to join so that the conservation of animal would well protected and animas are loved.
